Enevo is a waste technology company that uses IoT sensors and a software platform to help waste companies, smart cities and commercial organizations globally reduce waste-related costs, increase recycling and improve sustainability by measuring, analyzing and managing waste.

Challenge

Providing waste data from proprietary analytics software in dumpster sensors, Enevo moved its HQ from Finland to Boston to expand its U.S. presence and introduce a new services-based offering. Enevo engaged Belle to communicate the brand’s value proposition in the U.S. and elevate its expertise among new target audiences that aligned with critical business development and sales goals.

Enevo Case Study

APPROACH

Belle recommended a strategic thought leadership program focused on regional and trade media outreach to secure editorial opportunities and speaking engagements. These targeted PR tactics focused on getting Enevo in front of its primary target audiences and delivering compelling, relevant content around topics that would promote the company’s services and technology while highlighting client successes.

PROGRAM

Belle developed priority pitch angles, storylines and session topics to begin media and conference outreach. Company news and key messages were pitched proactively, and Belle monitored the news cycle to pitch timely story ideas, such as trend commentary, holiday waste management or tips and insights around the impact of new recycling regulations.

THE OUTCOMES

Targeted outreach led to consistent and quality news coverage, including over 70 bylined articles, interviews, technology spotlights, company announcements, and industry roundups. Enevo not only established itself in the competitive Boston technology community but also became a frequently sourced industry voice within the waste and recycling trade media. 

Enevo saw increased web traffic from media coverage referrals and sizable visitor spikes around key service announcements. The company also received increased inbound interest from potential customers and hauler partners who cited seeing the brand in trade articles, stating PR as the reason for their proactive inquiries.
