We are proud to share that Belle Communication has been named one of Inc.’s Best Workplaces for 2023. This annual list honors top companies to work for in the U.S., according to a rating system based on employee surveys about topics such as management effectiveness, perks, fostering employee growth and overall company culture. According to Inc. magazine’s editor and chief, this was the most competitive year yet.
Winning this prestigious award (for the third time) comes after being named to PRovoke’s list of Best Agencies to Work For (second year in a row), and the announcement that Megumi Robinson, Head of Services, has been recognized as Columbus Business First, 40 under 40.
Meaningful work and thriving relationships
In 2013, Kate launched Belle with the vision to empower meaningful work and thriving relationships. By continuing to lead a workplace that values openness, shared vision, employee happiness and meaningful work, Kate’s vision is being realized today.
While the public relations industry continues to experience high stress and burnout, we believe we are seeing momentum in the areas of mental health, and are proud to be part of that change. That’s why Kate made the executive decision to roll out Thrive Days in 2022, in which Belles may take up to six paid mental health days annually, no questions asked.
When asked about her time at Belle, Heather Allen, Head of Operations and Belle’s first hire shared, “I’m most proud of the way that Belle has remained true to its values and purpose all along the way. Those were things that were part of Kate’s vision from the very beginning. I can say as someone who has been here since year one that I’ve seen the vision that she had for Belle then remain true as we’ve grown.”
From our founder: A look back and a look to what’s next
“Looking back on 10 years, I am deeply proud of the trust and true partnership we’ve earned. As a result, we’ve achieved milestone (and fan girl!) moments like expanding Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams national awareness to partnering with retail giants like Big Lots to launch its first-ever PR strategy to being asked to contribute to the Association of National Advertisers’ influencer marketing measurement guidelines — the first of its kind in the industry.
We remain committed to bringing continual, proactive insight and creative thinking to our client partners. As strategic counselors, our clients rely on us to help them navigate the current media landscape with a keen eye on what the next platform iteration, challenge or opportunity could mean within media, globally and by industry.
What excites me most about the next 10 years is the way we will be able to operate at scale. By expanding our creative strategy division and deciphering what’s next within PR, we will bring macro considerations within AI, DE&I and the evolving power of influence to fuel relevance and relatability for the brands we serve.
As a team, we cast a vision for the next 10 years and have some lofty goals. I believe we will see them come to life if we stick true to the values that have gotten us to where we are today and remain committed to raising the bar in results and creativity.”
Since its founding, Belle has helped more than 100 brands think bigger and achieve results that matter. Whether it’s a billion-dollar insurance company or a Fortune 500 retailer, we’ve seen the power of true PR partnership and we are driven to see PR continue to evolve with new technologies, platforms and measurement.
Thank you for your support and for taking the time to celebrate with us as we raise a glass to Belle’s first decade in business and look forward to what’s next.
