IDEAL INDUSTRIES, INC. is a global, diversified family-owned business designing and manufacturing superior products for the electrical, power management and industrial charging industries. The 109-year-old company was founded in 1916 on the premise of forging ideal relationships with customers, employees, partners, and communities. The company has consistently grown and expanded under five generations of family ownership.

Challenge

IDEAL Industries approached Belle with a clear objective: evolve brand perception and grow market share across three brands: IDEAL Electrical, Anderson Power and Enatel. 

Despite deep technical expertise and longstanding industry relationships, the company lacked the widespread recognition and recall needed to support long-term revenue goals. The brands had compelling stories, from innovative product releases to workplace excellence, but needed strategic amplification to reach decision-makers.

APPROACH

The opportunity was clear: establish a consistent media presence that builds buyer trust in complex B2B purchase decisions. In markets where buyers increasingly research vendors independently before engaging sales teams, IDEAL Industries needed third-party validation and thought leadership visibility to appear in buyers' consideration sets.

We embedded ourselves with IDEAL Industries' product, sales and leadership teams to understand what questions their buyers were asking. This insight informed a media strategy that positioned IDEAL Industries brands where target audiences were already seeking information: in the trade publications they read and on the podcasts they listen to, covering the topics they're actively researching.

The goal wasn't just impressions. It was creating content that sales teams could use to build credibility, drive qualified traffic to product pages and move prospects through their evaluation process. We also developed awards and speaker strategies to secure third-party recognition, and crisis communications protocols to protect brand reputation.

PROGRAM

Belle executed a campaign that addressed each stage of the buyer journey:

Building Awareness: Product coverage in influential outlets like Pro Tool Reviews introduced IDEAL Electrical's innovations to audiences researching solutions – from the SureTrace Pro circuit tracer to digital fish tape. Gift guides and seasonal features reached buyers in decision mode, driving traffic to key product pages.

Establishing Trust: Thought leadership placements positioned IDEAL Industries’ experts as authorities on the topics buyers care about. For example, Anderson Power contributed insights on how to navigate the rising demand for more power in a tighter data center footprint. A speaker training ensured thought leaders were confident and prepared to touch on trending topics. 

Supporting Consideration: Awards and industry recognition provided the external validation buyers seek when narrowing their vendor shortlist. Belle amplified recognition for IDEAL Industries' innovation and workplace excellence, creating proof points that differentiate the brands from competitors. 

Each placement became a sales enablement tool: relevant, credible content the team could share to advance conversations and demonstrate industry leadership.

OUTCOMES

The results delivered exactly what IDEAL Industries needed: media coverage that moved the sales process forward.

Sales teams reported using PR content in customer conversations to build credibility and close deals. Editorial placements drove hundreds of referral visits to product pages and technical resources – tangible evidence that prospects were moving from awareness to active evaluation. 

In 26 months, IDEAL Industries secured over 1 billion impressions. IDEAL Electrical achieved an 86% year-over-year share of voice increase, and IDEAL Electrical and Anderson Power became regularly sourced by media outlets for expert perspectives.
