Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams
Scooping Up SOV in National + Regional Media
Jeni's Ice Creams
Industry: Food + Beverage
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams is devoted to making better ice creams and bringing people together. It is known for being ahead of trends and has revolutionized the ice cream industry with its unique flavors, forever changing the way ice cream is made.
Challenge
Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams wanted to be on the tip of everyone’s tongue—both literally and figuratively—with its inspired, artisanal products. The ice cream brand came to Belle Communication with a need to capture the national media spotlight.
APPROACH
We helped the team at Jeni’s drive meaningful momentum across the brand with a PR strategy that connected the dots between various initiatives. Campaigns spanned from expanded scoop shop openings and national thought leadership to promo for new flavor drops like the fiercely debated Everything Bagel and celebrity collaborations with figures like Dolly Parton and Tyler, the Creator.
PROGRAM
To build buzz for new LTO flavor drops and scoop shop launches, we created their first-ever Pint Club, delivering exclusive samples to key media contacts, and collaborated with Jeni’s team for creative social media teasers that sparked widespread chatter.
At the same time, we elevated Jeni Britton’s reputation as the ultimate artisan ice cream creator by sharing her inspiring journey—highlighting her commitment to quality, the science behind her flavor pairings and the global travels that fuel her creativity.
OUTCOMES
From Seth Meyers to Joe Biden, everyone in America was talking about Jeni’s. The brand was securely positioned at the forefront of ice cream innovation as its media presence more than doubled and continued to grow YoY during our partnership.
We drove widespread national and regional awareness to best tell the Jeni’s story, elevate Jeni Britton’s profile as a thought leader and capture coveted SOV from the competition. Efforts drove mega sales and lines out the door, including record-setting heights during the Dolly drop and for its Chicago West Loop scoop shop opening.
