Jefferson Awards Foundation’s 5th Annual NYC National Ceremony
JEFFERSON AWARD FOUNDATION
THE
SITUATION
The Jefferson Awards Foundation, the nation’s most prestigious and longest-standing organization dedicated to powering and celebrating public service, was set to honor the country’s top public service achievers at its annual gala in New York City in March. The Jefferson Awards Foundation approached Belle Communications to manage press outreach and the on-site step and repeat (red carpet) and to raise awareness for the Jefferson Awards and its honorees through local and national media outreach.
THE
TACTICS
To generate media coverage and maximize impressions, the Belle team secured pre-event coverage through local and nonprofit calendar listings. Then, with a carefully crafted press list, the team conducted targeted outreach to local and national outlets in order to secure media attendance at the event. Belle also coordinated red carpet interviews between the media, award recipients and Jefferson Awards Foundation Executive Director, Hillary Schafer.
THE
RESULTS
Belle’s media outreach efforts and on-site event management resulted in 23 media coverage opportunities for the event, generating 176,955,988 media impressions in local and national outlets including People, ESPN, Newsday, and the New York Post.
