Entrepreneurship…LIKE A BOSS.
Don’t Worry About Worrying.
Even if you’re doing well, the life of a business owner is stressful. But over-thinking and worrying can be counterproductive, which can lead to poor results and even more stress. This article discusses slow thinking, a way of staying rational and in control so worry doesn’t take over your life. Hakuna Matata!
Learn to Like People
Not everyone can be a people person, but that doesn’t really fly in the business world. So what do you do if you’re more of a lone wolf? This post from Inc.com provides good tips for connecting with people and focusing on being friendlier and more approachable.
Inspire Employee Passion
Obviously entrepreneurs should be fired up about their work, but how do you create that same kind of excitement in your employees? This article from Forbes describes how leaders can motivate employees and engage them in the company.
Tips and Tools to Empower Your Life
If you’re an entrepreneur, you know that the nine-to-five work day is not always realistic. Working early in the morning or late at night is inevitable sometimes (OK maybe most times), and that usually includes sending emails. But sending out emails at odd hours can disrupt the recipient or even appear unprofessional.
Luckily, we have a tool to help remedy this problem: Boomerang. Boomerang is a Google Chrome plug-in that allows you to schedule sending emails and replies at whatever time you need them to go out, even if you’re not online at that particular time. You can also use the plug-in to set reminders if you need to follow up with someone who hasn’t responded, and you can set it up so you only get reminded if nobody replies. No more spamming people!
