#ThriveableFriday: Speed Reading

Is it possible for a week to fly by and stall at the same time? Team Belle has had an incredibly productive week as we onboard some exciting new clients while continuing to achieve great new opportunities and relationships for our continuing clients!

Before we sign off to celebrate our successes, we wanted to share this week’s #THRIVEableFriday to empower you in your own careers and lives by challenging to you ask better questions, erase to-do list guilt and teach yourself to speed read with a nifty little app.

Entrepreneurship…LIKE A BOSS.

Ask Better Questions!

For those of us who have taken a journalism class, we’ve probably all had one lesson hammered into our very being. Do not, under any circumstance, ask a yes or no question. This is an important lesson for more than just journalists, but leaders as well. Fast Company has a great article on how you should be asking questions and offers 5 simple tips for improvement.

To-Do List Taunting You?

I don’t know about you, but I don’t remember the last time I successfully got through a full to-do list in one day. I’m more of a dreamer when I create my lists than a realist. Not finishing these to-dos, no matter what they are, always leads to guilt. This week, Inc. offers a kinder approach to beating yourself up about that list with five important questions that will leave you feeling accomplished, instead of like a failure.

Tips and Tools to Empower Your Life

Oh hey…it’s almost April! Did you conveniently forget about your New Years Resolution to read 100 books this year? Or maybe you’re only on John Adams in your goal to read a biography of every president? You’re going to need to speed read to get caught up! Don’t worry…there’s an app for that! Velocity is a nifty little app that trains you to read faster than ever before – we’re talking Underdog speeds! It even lets you save articles from the web into the app and brag about your skillz on social. Happy Day!
