As a Columbus PR agency, we love it when we have the opportunity to work with Columbus-based businesses and organizations. We’ve worked with brands from all over the country, but there’s a special place in our hearts for organizations that share our roots and hometown pride! So we’re especially excited to announce our newest client partner, an organization that is (literally) at the heart of our city: Columbus Commons!
Columbus Commons is a six-acre green space located in downtown Columbus. It serves as a thriving gathering place and hosts community events, including concerts, races, festivals, Family Fundays, movies, Food Truck Food Court, outdoor fitness classes and more.
We’ve partnered with Columbus Commons to provide strategic support in the areas of social media and influencer marketing. We’ll work closely with the Commons team to develop a long-term strategy focused on engagement with fans of the Commons across the various social platforms. Our objective is to reinforce the activities, amenities, convenience and special events available at Columbus Commons, as well as how the park benefits the surrounding community and the city as a whole.
An important tactic within this strategy will be cultivating relationships with local Columbus influencers. We’ll collaborate with social influencers and local bloggers to promote and attend events and host giveaways. We’ll also utilize social listening to proactively engage with fans and influencers who mention the Commons on social media.
“Columbus Commons is all about providing premier events for the entire community to enjoy; we work hard to produce a robust season packed with nearly 250 events that truly provides something for everyone,” said Amy Taylor, Chief Operating Officer of the Columbus Downtown Development Corporation and Capitol South – the organizations that manage the park. “As we approach our sixth season, our goal is to continue promoting the Commons as an urban oasis, offering a plethora of free events from May through September – but we know there’s still an untapped market. We are thrilled to begin working with Belle Communications to help us broaden our reach through a new social media strategy. Their enthusiasm for the Commons and what’s happening Downtown is evident, and we’re confident that type of excitement, paired with their expertise and creativity, will help us engage with new fans and spread the word about the amazing things happening at Columbus Commons.”
We see an abundance of opportunity for the Commons to engage with fans and have fun within social media through creative campaigns, giveaways and real-time marketing during events. We’re looking forward to seeing how these tactics, combined with a strategic content plan, help to support increased awareness for the Commons.
