Being part of a virtual office can be very rewarding. You can work from almost any location, set your own hours and there can be a lot of flexibility. If you’re working within a virtual office format or your job requires you to be on the move, it’s essential to stay organized and maximize your resources. Working outside of a physical office can be easy and fun if you prepare and bring the right tools along for the ride.

Have a Plan … but Keep it Flexible.

One of the ways I keep organized regardless of location is by creating a ritual or checklist of essential resources. Often, I have to pickup and head out the door quickly or rework a last-minute meeting into my schedule. So, it’s helpful to have that go-to list in my head of essential items so I can literally grab and go as needed.

Every tool you use on the go should be portable and versatile. Try to make your day easier by using tools that are compact, charged and multi-purpose.

Say Hello to My 3 Favorite Tools for a Virtual Office

Tools for a Virtual Office

In this week’s video I’m highlighting three tools that I always keep close by, whether I’m at home, traveling or at Starbucks:

  1. Mophie
  2. Noise Canceling Headphones
  3. Moleskin

Remember, the goal is to bring the resources you need to thrive regardless of your location so be sure to do what it takes to make yourself comfortable in your workspace. Something as small as a planner can help create continuity and shouldn’t be left behind.

What are your favorite virtual office tools for working on the go?
